Question

adobe media encoder render failing

i've tried to render a 20 second video multiple times through AME and even through AE's built in rendering system but it always goes halfway then fails on AME and in the case of AE it goes halfway and crashes. i've tried clearing space on my laptop, clearing the disk cache on AE, reducing file size through my AME render settings, etc. and it keeps failing. i have about 20 gbs available on my laptop. it only renders about 09 to 12 secs every time before it fails/crashes.

That is likely the issue.

You need more room than that for system and temp files.

100 - 150 GB, depending upon your system, the effects and transitions used, the codec of your media, and other factors.

also forgot to mention that it will render at a normal pace at first then slow down significantly once it reaches the middle and it'll render slowly for a while and barely move then fail.
