AME 2023 Extremely Slow AE Export

New Here ,
Jan 31, 2023 Jan 31, 2023

Hi all,

I've been scratching my head for a long time now about why my M1 Max MacBook Pro 16" (64GB memory) is not getting through my AE renders (rendered in AME).

I know I'm asking a lot from my machine, but it is not even close to finishing it's task. What I'm trying to do is:

I have 6mins of 360 degrees footage (8K 29,97 fps H.265) in my project that I speeded up to last only 30s. The single effect that I applied is 'Force Blur' (settings: Motion blur samples - 25 / Shutter angle - 500). I'm exporting in 8K 29,97 fps H.265, so same settings as the initial footage. But I'm 45mins in and the remaining time went up from 50min at the start to 7h20min (and still going up...)

So, with 10 more shots to go, this is going to take me ages.

Mercury Playback Engine GPU Accelaration (Metal) is on. Same as all other optimalisation recommendations I could find on the internet.

Any thoughts? I really don't understand why this is taking my spect out laptop so insanely long.

Thanks a million for your help!

With kind regards,

Erik
