Can't render AE project with Media Encoder

New Here ,
May 30, 2020 May 30, 2020

Hi,

I've made a full project in After Effects. When I try to render it with Media Encoder, my render always stops at like 1/4th of the project and this is the error which shows in the log.

- Encoding Time: 00:06:00
05/30/2020 10:22:57 AM : Encoding Failed
------------------------------------------------------------
Export Error
Error compiling movie.

Accelerated Renderer Error

Unable to produce frame.

Writing with exporter: H.264
Writing to file: \\?\C:\Users\user\Desktop\Montage_1_1.mp4
Writing file type: H264
Around timecode: 00:00:56:06 - 00:00:56:22
Rendering at offset: 24.667 seconds
Component: H.264 of type Exporter
Selector: 9
Error code: -1609629695

It is a school project and it needs to be H.264 but it crashes everytime. I already tried to render on GPU and on hardware but both don't make a difference. I really don't know what I can do anymore.

Greetings,

Brent

I was just about to start a new topic with the same error. I've been trying to render out a video for the past two days on a brand new computer. I've tried different presets, adjusted the renderer, and reduced the settings as much as I'm willing to sacrifice, but nothing has worked.

The time code has been consistent each time on where it fails, so I originally thought there was an issue within the project file itself. It's a point in the video where I have a camera layer producing a depth of field effect, if that helps at all.

On a deadline and same issue!

I have just updated both AE and Media Encoder - but still no result.

Still haven't found a solution. I've tried rolling back AME to 14.0.4 and still no luck, still the exact same timecode. I've done what I can to the troublesome shot short of just removing it entirely, which is obviously not a solution. I recognize that I'm working on a small machine, but it is brand new and the effects I'm working on are hardly intensive compared to other projects I've edited with a much older and weaker machine.

I precomp everything down, but here are some shots from my project file as well.

All this is is a reveal using clipping masks of two images- one (the background image) with a depth of field applied but no camera movement. The render stops at exactly the point of fade-in. I have no idea how to make this shot any more simple than it already is.
