How to shorten time between checks using watch folder?

Community Beginner ,

Is it possible to edit the time between checks? I think its 30 seconds now. So for instance it could check the watch folder every 5 seconds?

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. Working with watch folders usually needs some time for processing. However, when you say the time between checks, what do you mean?

  • The time taken by the application to launch or
  • The time taken to start encoding.

Could you share more details about the issue?

Thanks,

Shivangi

Hi Shivangi,

Time to start encoding.

When AME is launched and a videofile is placed inside the watched folder, it can vary in time to start encoding. I figure AME scans the folder once every X seconds.

Ideally, it should not scan every time. If the file has appeared in AME that means the scanning has been done.

Do you get this issue with every file?
