I am exporting clips from Adobe Premiere sequence named J26_FTG. Previously I just select clips one by one and add them to AME, as a result, I got clips J26_FTG.mp4, J26_FTG_1.mp4, J26_FTG_2.mp4, etc.
Somehow after update, AME overwriting the file J26_FTG.mp4 despite the option in preferences "Increment output file name..".
Any suggestions or this is a bug?

I'm having the same problem. Any luck solving it? It seem adobe's advice is to use the beta version, however it doesnt look like clips can be sent from premier to the beta? So not really a solve.
Pretty frusterating as this is a key fuctionality but I'm not seeing adobe takign it seriosuly anywhere.

Please be assured, that we do take bug reports seriously.
Unfortunately we can not fix everything right at the time of reporting, we have to prioritize what we work on.
When we fix a but that was recently reported we try to update that thread and point to beta, so that our users who took the time to report it, can verify it. The fix should then be included in the next official release.
Best regards

Thank you. Looking forward to the new updates. Just curious why it was changed, in the old versions it was working pretty well. I know the workaround with nesting comps, but for >100 clips it is not the best solution.

I understand, and I know you're not personally responsible. This is a key function of Media Encoder and it doesn't seem Premier is capable of sending a job using the sequence in and outs to ME's Beta.
For my work, I need to export about 350+ clips a day. This "bug" is costing me money as we speak. When I'm paying a subscription for professional software, professional functions of that software shouldn't be broken for weeks. That's a big problem. This is a patch overnight issue, especially when you consider it's a problem that can, and has cost hundreds of dollars in time lost. I am now wondering how long Adobe would let premier go with out being able to mix sound or add transitions or something? Like what level of being broken calls for fixing it right away?

As I need to export about 100 clips every day this is became a real issue. I found out that if add a clip from Premiere, render it, then add another one.. it will increment file names, but in earlier versions I was able to add all 100 clips, let's say J26.mp4, and after encoding I got J26.mp4. J26_1.mp4, etc...
There are few solutions I've found so far:
- Working. Export XML to Davinci and render clips there, so simple just J26_%Clip#
- Not working, but possible. I've created a script to nest all the clips in sequemce, with incremental name, like J26_01, J26_02.. but the issue is that it is not that simple to run scripts in Adobe Premiere, which is really sad, because a lot of things could be solved with a few lines of python or java.
Anyway. I will move to DaVinci, as it seems to work faster and this kind of a simple task is working there.
