In AME, I'm rendering out an AfterEffects 4k video in the HEVC h.265 codec. However, when I check the High Dynamic Range checkbox, the video comes out underexposed and dingy. I've tried compensating in AfterEffects, but all I end up with is something that looks like a dim overexposed video.
Is there a way to compensate for the lower brightness/lower contrast that the HDR setting brings, so it looks closer to the pre-rendered file?

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. I understand you are observing a difference in the preview for the exported file from the original one.
Looking forward for your response.
Thanks,
