Media Encoder 2020 crashes when starting a queue

I upgraded to PP and AME 2020. Now I can't run anything through a queue.  AME just crashes as soon as I hit the start button.  It still works fine to create a batch of proxies out of Premiere with "Creat Proxies."

I have reinstalled and deleted various files in

Documents > Adobe > Adobe Media Encoder

I can't work without the ability to run a queue.

This is happening on both my 2013 Mac Pro and 2018 Macbook Pro.  They are running High Sierra 10.13.6

I upgraded to OS Catalina on the MBP and Media Encoder seems to work correctly.  But now lots of my old software won't work.  Thanks again, Adobe.  How about properly bug checking your new software before releasing it?  Stuff like this happens every time.
