Media encoder not installed 2023

I have updated all apps and restarted (mac studio M1 ultra) but I get this message when trying to render from AE 23.6.0 to AME 24, build 54.  Iit will not open encoder and I get this message:

You need to have the same major version of After Effects and Media Encoder installed.
AE 23.x will only work with AME 23.x
AE 24.x will only work with AME 24.x
