Media Encoder slow to access external drive

After upgrading to Ventura (13.5.2) Media Encoder (2023) takes up to 40+ seconds to access a render folder on an external drive.  Didn't have this problem yesterday when the OS was Monterey.  The actual render time to the folder once it's displayed is fine.

Update - It's not just Media Encoder, it seems to be all Adobe.  In fact it may be an issue with Ventura.  However no one will fess up (surprise).
