MOV to H.264 media encoder --black screen

I am trying to convert my apple videos (MOV files) to MP4 so i can edit in PR pro but for some reason it only transfers audio file in MOV and so i need to convert to mp4 but when i use media encoder I transfer to h.264 and all i get is a black screen. can anyone help me with this.

Do your .mov files display any video when you bring them into either Premiere Pro or Media Encoder? Or is it just black video in both applications? Do you need to convert the the .mov files to .mp4 files?

Thanks for writing in. This does not sound ideal. In addition to the questions asked by Brandon, could you share the export settings that you're selecting?
