Perfekte Dateigröße für Blurays?

Hey zusammen,

The H.264 Blu-ray presets are based on recommended industry settings for HD encoding and SD encoding and should be good for most use casees.

  • If the Bluray blank has 25gb of space, how should I aim for the 25gb file size?
There's what's called a "bit budget" where as the author of the title you calculate how much space is needed based on the the content being authored.
  • Accordingly, is it worth setting the bitrate high? Would there be problems with the Bluray players if the bitrate is too high (stuttering during playback)?
If the bit rate is set "out of spec" for Blu-ray Disc (BD), yes, playback issues can be expected.
  • To what extent can I aim for ~23gb in advance without rendering the video out 5 times. Are there reliable ways to do this?
If you're looking to do image quality camparisons at different bit rates, queue up about 5 minutes of the program once in Adobe Media Encoder and add two or three Outputs.  Set each Output to a different bit rate and then compare the results when completed.
Adobe Media Encoder provides and "Estimated File Size" in the Export Settings dialog box, just above the Cancel and OK buttons.

You set bitrate according to the resolution of the video.

No mulitplexing, AME will only export video and audio in seperate files.

No authoring, you will have to use some other software to make your disk.

Or just export as mp4 and stick it on a flash drive.

KevGamesUltimate,

To play a Bluray on a player, you must "author" the disk. It is not just a disk with a video file burned on it. Is that what you are planning? Or does your player support playing a file from a data disk?

Too high a bitrate may cause playback problems.
