Render with Alpha

Hi, im trying to render an animated objet on a transparent background as an mpeg or mp4

 but only quicktime and AVI are avail with alpha it seems. Dont have QT installed which i was

trying to avoid, so are the're any better or recommended alternatives first please?

MP4 doesn't support transparency.

You don't need QT installed.

Thankyou, that helped but my object turned blue in the video file after rendering.

Went with AVI instead, and that worked perfectly, even tho a larger size.

Yes, we have to use a video file format as well as CODEC that supports an alpha channel.

 

No, we do not need to have QuickTime installed to render an Apple ProRes 4444 QuickTime movie file if we're using a version of Adobe Media Encoder that's from 2013 or newer.
