Start frame number when exporting image sequence in AME

Start Frame number:
When rendering an image sequence in AME, I need the option to control start frame number - as I have in AE. So that I can correct certain frames, and render them directly into my existing sequence.

For a programme thats dedicated to rendering this is a massive oversight....Also please include correct frame padding options while your at it.

Agree! For most large or professional projects, rendering image sequences is a critical part of the workflow, and when a render fails or a partial revision is needed, we need to be able to render portions of the timeline without using third-party products to renumber all of the frames. After Effects already works this way. We need AME and Premiere Pro to do it as well.

For those that are still waiting for Adobe to pull finger - you can batch rename your images using Adobe Bridge. It is not ideal, adds several steps to the process and requires you to render to a different location and then move the image files back to where you're keeping the rest of your sequence. It's a fix of sorts, but please don't stop nagging Adobe to fix their product - I really don't know why this problem hasn't been addressed for years and years. How I long for a competitor to Adobe to release a media encoding app.

I fully agree - having used After effects since 1995, I still don't get, why they don't just (hold your breath) make it possible for AME to just use the numbering from the After Effects submit. Example: AE: render 0232-0234 AME: 0232-0234.

And while we are at it - also just adopt the "timecode-to-frame-and-back" switch function from After effects too, when ctrl+clicking the time-display, thus changing the display from timecode to frames.
