Hi!
I updated AME from 14.1 to 14.2 and now it crashes every time when I want to add a video file to the queue.
I have the same problem when I add something from After Effects or Premiere.
I did a fresh install of AME and everything was working again. But as soon as I change anything in the preferences, I got the same problems again!

AME 14.2 is working again after I disable GPU hardware acceleration.
What's wrong with my hardware???
Like I said: I had no problems or errors with version 14.1 (and all versions before).

I just found this post after having the same issues. My problem is that AME was crashing after clicking "Create Ingest Preset," and Premiere was crashing when I hit anything to do with Ingest settings. When I read your post, the first thing I tried was disable GPU acceleration, and now I have what seems to be seamless preformance.
Have you learned anything else in the past two days? I'm curious as hell about this.

Hi ,
We have identified the issue and have a possible fix in latest beta build. We request to try it out latest Beta build of Premiere Pro or Adobe Media Encoder.
You can access latest Beta build from Creative Cloud App > Beta Apps
Please let us know whether it works or not.
Regards
Abhishek

Hi,
I tried using the Beta and its working. However its quite slow compared as usual.

I think the problem was the new hardware acceleration in 14.2.
The reason should be that my GeForce MX230 is not supported for it.
I tried the new beta and everything is working again. I could use Intel QuickSync again without any problems.
So I will wait for the next official update. Until then it seems that I have to live with software encoding.

I had the same problem as above and the beta has solved it for me on AME, Premier Pro and Premiere Rush.

i was having similar issues when trying to export to an h264 file. i was only able to use this method if i exported from effects to avi file first, and then used the beta media encoder to change it to the h264 file.

I got the same issues with Media Encoder 14.2: it' freezing all the time when I try to export, in all export formats. I got as a solution to disable hardware acceleration, but it takes 1000 times as long compared to Handbrake which exports with tha same settings with 120 fps, where the Media Encoder exports only with 0.012 fps. My sistem has am Intel Core i7-7700 HQ CPU with Intel HD Graphics 630 (driver version 27.20.100.8280) and an NVIDIA Geforce GTX 1050) GPU with driver version 26.21.14.3086. I hope that in the next release you will fix the problem because with other encoder the GPU is on 100 % full load and the encoding process is faster.

I haven't been able to get ME 2020 to work. My current success rate is about 1 completion for every 10 tries.
Any better luck out there?
