Active links under another component

Is there a way to deactivate links under another component - for example, i have a page with links and a slide out menu, when the menu is active (ie slides onto the screen) the links underneath are still clickable making the clickable areas on the slide out menu difficult to click on?

Will it be possible for you to share a small video or a few screenshots of the components used and also a screenshot of the prototype window capturing the wired connections. It will help us in understanding the design so that we can help you in the best possible way.

    I hope this makes sense. Once the menu is active (image right), the toggle switches are still clickable underneath the menu
