Adobe XD Crashes When Opening Files with "Noto Sans CJK JP" Font

Opening an XD file that uses "Noto Sans CJK JP" as its text font and hovering over an artboard causes Adobe XD to crash immediately. The crash does not occur if "Noto Sans CJK JP" is not installed via Adobe Fonts. Since "Noto Sans CJK JP" installs automatically, the app crashes on every subsequent launch. The crash seems to happen only with longer texts.

 

System: macOS Sonoma 14.4.1
XD Version: 57.1.12.2 arm

Hi,

 

Sorry to hear about the trouble. I tested the file and it works fine on my end. The font was activated automatically through Adobe Fonts and the file worked as expected. Can you confirm if this is reproducible on multiple files? If you have installed Noto sans fonts separately, will it be possible for you to uninstall it from there and install it only from Adobe fonts and test again.

Hi,

Thank you for your assistance. The crash occurs with multiple files. The first instance of this issue was with a file created for a client, so I made a new file that can be shared publicly to replicate the problem. I have also tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the font from Adobe Fonts, but the result was the same.

This occurs on the "second launch" of the application.

I tried using the same sentence in a different font to see if the problem would occur.
There was no problem with most fonts, but I reproduced it with "Source Han Serif".
Both are fonts from the same project.
