Adobe XD tutorial help

I tried to use AdobeXD for the first time and the first thing that comes up is

Welcome to Adobe XD

Follow the 10 short steps below to learn

what you can do in Adobe XD.

Things went bad on Step 0.

Instructions said to download and unzip a folder from www.adobe.com/go/xd_tutorial_images.  "You'll need these for this tutorial."  Problem:  The URL does not exist and neither do the files!  I looked all over the Adobe XD website and there is not tutorial for the 10 short steps.  Does anyone have a clue as to where these files are?

This "10 Steps Tutorial" sounds familiar to me.

It's the old "Camp Vibes" tutorial, which was displayed prominently at the Start screen of early versions of Adobe XD. You can still access this good old tutorial through the Help menu, but beware: it's very limited and even has a bug in it (the link from one button to an artboard doesn't work anymore).

To give you an idea, this is how it used to work:

There are many beautiful and more recent tutorials over here:

And please verify you're using any recent version of Adobe XD !

BTW: the link in your original post should be:

http://www.adobe.com/go/xd_tutorial_images

Where did you find or get that incorrect link ?

The link was provided by Adobe. Since the tutorial video does not work, I am going to just try to use the program by looking at tutorial videos on YouTube. I still DO NOT understand how to get the zip file images from the folder to the artboards. I am almost completely out of patience with this Adobe product and if I can't figure out how to use it I will be moving on. Thanks for your reply.

Once you unzip the images, select the artboard you want to place the image on, then use the import command from the menu (or command-shift-I on the Mac). Adobe Xd will then import the image onto that artboard.

A challenge with Adobe XD is it is that the team releases new versions quickly, which can make tutorials become out of date. I recommend starting with https://letsxd.com/ for current tutorials and guidance.

I cannot gain acess to this zip file either. I get a '404' error page not found' message if I click on the link, or copy and paste it into the address bar. I can't get any help from Adobe either because the Virtual Assistant sent me here! I will have to uninstall the program if I can't get the help I need.

Hi Pamela,

Sorry to hear about the trouble. I found a tutorial and user guide which you can refer to for learning Adobe XD.

User Guidehttps://helpx.adobe.com/xd/user-guide.html

Let us know if this helps, or if you need any further assistance.

The problem is your tutorial video, because it simply does not work properly. I do NOT understand how to access the zip file or where to find it. Secondly, moving the cursor around the screen and simply moving the content DOES NOT WORK. When I try to use two fingers to move the screen up, down or across, it will not move. I can't do anything with this tutorial, and I have run out of patience with it.

I'm not sure why those files haven't been accessible for you. When I selected, copied and pasted your link it opened up a zip file for me.

If the files continue to not be accessible for you I would suggest trying this page and the tutorials on it instead.
