Clients should unlearn using Photoshop for web or UI design 🙂 It's bad for that in all the ways, with terrible performance, etc. You should communicate this to them and be a bit more firm about it. We're the professionals, we know what tools are best to use. They also can't argue you're forcing them to pay for a subscription or buy anything, since prototypes / specs can be viewed by anyone for free and developers can also export assets easily from those, without the need to "slice" designs in Photoshop like years ago 🙂

The industry is moving into that more specialized direction, so there's intentional one-way compatibility between the outdated (for UI design) Photoshop method and the new UX/UI design software from recent years.

If it's an absolute must, you can copy everything to Illustrator, and then copy from Illustrator and paste in Photoshop as layers / smart objects / shape layers, with less than ideal results, ofcourse 🙂 If you want everything to be perfect, you will find yourself rebuilding or tweaking 80% of the elements, because very few things in Photoshop work the same way in Xd.

i try my best to inform my client that Xd is the best choice for them but their basic knowledge about it they force it to be psd file which i cannot offer, i think adding that feature will make it more easier for designers like me who their clinets wants the file of the project in psd
