Hey community folk,
I'm fairly new to XD, have used for an entire desktop site for a client and it has been great. But now we need to create the mobile version. I'm looking for best practices or tips and tricks on doing that in the easiest way possible.
Just looking for a good suggestion or three. Thanks!
That's perfectly OK, I was just stating my preference. I usually set up separate projects (files) for desktop and mobile prototypes. I have never used artboards of different sizes in the same file, like to keep things simple. I am not sure about the section of the document you were referring to, but despite that, this is what I would do.
There are probably users here with other workflows that benefit from having different sized artboards in the same file. You can wait for them to respond.
Thanks

My two cents.
- Using libraries would be a good idea, yes.
- I would suggest creating different files for desktop and mobile prototypes.
Thanks,
Preran

Hey Preran, thanks.
What I read this morning, here from Adobe, made it sound like one file for all sizes? (I wasn't trying to trap you, I swear!). Obviously there are different ways, but is there a reason you recommend separate files?
This is the support doc I found: Use artboards and grids in Adobe XD.
