Hi
I have a Creative Cloud All Apps subscription and only ever really uses XD. I've now moved over to Figma because the future of XD is too uncertain and dont need the full Adobe suite anymore. Can I keep using XD on my laptop to open old files after I've cancelled my subscription?
Thank you!

Unfortunately not. Xd is only available as part of the CC All Apps plan, and not as a single app subscription. There's no free / starter plan either.

Thank you.
It's frustrating for us UX/UI designers to be pushed towards using Figma, yet we still have to pay for CC All Apps just to access our old XD files occasionally.
I really hope Adobe will relook this situation.
Kind regards
G

I get it - I use other apps like PS, Illustrator, AE, so I'm going to be on the plan anyways, but I understand it's annoying when you only need this one tool, which is being phased out. And as the acquisition didn't go through, we didn't get an official plugin or tool to convert Xd files to Figma either. Just a "deal with it" 🙂

Lets hope they come up with a solution like a free converter or let us legacy users keep on using it for a while. Thank you for your well informed answers and quick response 🙂

I agree, especially now we know that adobe aquired figma. I had this problem some time ago,... as I remember I safed all boards as SVG to be able to import them into figma. Not a perfect solution but at least most of the work is saved.

The deal to acquire Figma was cancelled. There is a Figma plugin that does an ok job of importing XD files into Figma.

That is a good news,... thanks Chris!
