cannot read property 'postscriptName' or null

Hi everyone.

Looks like I need your help. I have an xd file which I'm working with during a long time. Today is a release day and "of course" it's happened.

It tells me "cannot read property 'postscriptName' or null" and then showing just a blank page. Reboot, re-install, older version doesn't work. \

Please, help.

Win10/64,

XD - 8.022.11

Same Problem - new Version install and "cannot read property postscriptname of null" - danm!

But i am wondering… Restart the computer and it works.

"Cannot read property 'postscriptName' of null" exactly the same issue. Unable to work on files saved on a previous version! What a complete waste of time and effort that was!! I suppose this is not actually ready for prime time and it's really just a toy to play around with. But it should say up front that it's beta!

Win 10 + latest version of XD. Suitcase v20.

Hi Dv8kiwi,

Sorry that you are unable to open the file that you created in previous version and thanks for sharing the steps that you have already tried. I understand that it could be frustrating to not to be able to use the existing files. 

I would like to know if this is happening with all the files or with a specific file only? Would it be possible for you to try to open that file on a different machine?

It finally started working for some unknown reason after several reboots and reinstalls. Not fun.

hi its 2 day i send my message about this bug but anyone can rep so ...5. : cannot read property 'postscriptName' or null !!!

After the one more system reboot the file starts open normally but this is strange, because i didn't make any system changes between the last saving and this issue.

So, few re-installations, few reboots and all works!

Anyway, thank you for fast reply!

    Update: Avocode open this file without any problems. But I still can't doing anything even if I save it from Avocode with different name.

    UPD2. The file is opened in another device. So the problem is local. Bot, what is that problem?
