I am very curious to know how many Figma's users at this stage will people come to to Adobe and use Xd now that Figma is starting to charge more for their application.

Conditional actions (also known as "Advanced prototyping" in the plans & pricing) are available in the $15/mo Pro plan I'm using as of now. Can't say anything about the Student plans, perhaps they moved them. They were available to everyone while in Beta I believe. Haven't heard of plans to only make them available to more expensive subs. Won't be great for sure, but I don't think they'll do that as many freelancers like me are using the Pro plan. It would make it pointless to have a Pro plan wi

Has Figma's pricing changed recently? I think it's so far ahead of anything else out there, and especially Xd, that even if they charged double, nobody would come back to Xd specifically. Can't think of one meaningful way Xd is better than Figma. It hasn't been developed properly for 5 years now.

Edit: Xd has the 3D transform, and lottie playback support, but apart from that - nothing.

@Spas K. I know conditional formatting at one time was in the educational package, and it appears it has moved to the organization or enterprise packages, $45 to $75 a month (this is what one of my students said)...I  haven't confirmed that yet...

I know Xd can't do it properly,  if I want to create nav that links to a section on a different page in Figma I would need to use conditional formating to make it work

I do know Xd will eventually be phased out maybe 2024? Maybe 2025? Who knows exactly? But, I do get it where Figma and Xd is...problem is, many companies are still using Xd...

For example, this was sent recently from a former student...I did ask if they are using Figma or Xd...

It would make it pointless to have a Pro plan without them, as they are the only reason to not be on a free plan. And for freelancers and small teams - a switch to different software like Penpot for example is much easier.

On the other point - yes. When bigger companies decide on a tool, it's a long term commitment. I of course don't approve of the way Adobe handled Xd as a whole, but it is what it is. It's "just business". Knowing how inefficient Xd is compared to Figma right now though, the broken text engine on Windows, the bugs - a lot of people are needlessly suffering 🙂
