[Design]-Components jump to other artboards in XD.

I have a lot of components that hide outside of view for prototyping reasons (see image below). If there is another artboard near the artboard with components (first image below), the component jumps to the nearby artboard (second image below). This seems to happen when I edit the contents of a symbol. It means I have to go through 10-20 of arboards, moving the component back to the first artboard where it belongs. Very time consuming and frustrating.
The only solution I've come up with is to move the artboards about 600px apart from each other, but with close to fifty artboards, this makes scrolling too difficult. Is there a solution? Is this a bug? Thanks in advance.

My issue is similar to this person's issue in Photoshop. Unfortunately, there is no equivalent solution in XD.
