How to share a snapshot or version of a design with a client and go on working?

I am looking into improving collaboration with clients and think about sharing Adobe XD design not via PDF/email, but rather via the inbuilt sharing feature.
However, I want to share a snapshot/version and then move on to designing. The design process can be sometimes chaotic, not something the customer should see. I only want to share dedicated versions.
Is this somehow doable? Or do I need separate files for that?

Hi there,
Thanks for reaching out. If I understood correctly, you wish to share multiple flows of a design? If yes, please refer to this tutorial: https://letsxd.com/guides/creating-sharing-multiple-flows
Let us know if this helps or if you need any further assistance.

Thanks, I am not aware about flow as I currently only design and not prototype. I need to go over the entire article, however, from what I see I meant something differently.
I share a XD design with a client.
The client can have a look at it at any time.
I go on working on the same XD design.
I do not want that the client sees the live status of my work in progress.
The client should still see the version I shared with him/her.
Only when I am ready to commit, the client should be able to access the next version.
Workaround:
2 files: 1st file work in progress, 2nd file shared with client.
Copy/paste the work in progress whenever I feel ready to the shared file.

I recommend you to export your current project as pdf and share it through Adobe Acrobat or CC libraries as an image if you export as image. Or use any other cloud (oneDrive, googledrive.. etc)
There is one application that can open xd files. it called Photopea https://www.photopea.com
You can open it in ti, publish online and then share file with your customer.
