I noticed theres barely any customization in XD and I wanted to know when are they ever going to add a settings menu as I specifically want to swap the scroll wheel function to zoom rather than scroll.

Hey there. You're right that the preferences withing Xd are extremely limited. Xd is currently getting very few updates and bug fixes. I'd say, from what we've seen, such an update will be a lower priority as a lot of other things need to be addressed as well.
Currently, you can easily zoom by holding Ctrl (or Opt on Mac) and scrolling.
