Hello Adobe and dear community,

Being a beginner in the web field, I need a more interactive and animation/motion capable presentation of my UI/UX design.
My question: is Adobe XD going to top up its possibilities to become a competitive product of FramerX any time soon?

Appreciate your help!
Stay safe and be healthy!

Kind regards,
Stoyan Todorov

Hey there 🙂 It is unlikely that Xd will catch up to Framer's animation / prototyping fidelity in the very near future. Framer is powered by javascript and is browser based, which makes it more flexible as its closer to the web development environment (similar to Figma).

Xd is trying to cover more ground in both the design and prototyping fields, so its advancements in one or the other have been slower over the last few years. For reference, advanced animations in Xd have been requested as a feature and in the "Feature Started" status on uservoice for 5 years now...

I have found its prototyping abilities to be sufficient for most use cases. If you need very advanced parallax or 3D animations, however, it falls short. You still need workarounds and hacks to achieve things like proper sticky headers or parallax effects on scroll.

Hopefully that answers your question 🙂
