My work on Adobe XD was deleted and I can't find it

 I am a student, and all of my projects on Adobe XD were deleted. When I opened the app, I was asked to sign in and after I did, none of my work was there. I have no idea what prompted the sign in because that had never happened before. I couldn't open the files from my Mac because I made the mistake of not saving them on my computer nor on Creative Cloud, and so my work was nowhere to be found. Someone please help me.
