[Prototype]-Overlay is not working in XD on windows 10.

I am using Windows 10 pro for Adobe XD, while using Overlay on tap to create popup with trasperent background. its not working now

Hi, I appreciate I'm late to the party here but I was looking for a solution to this problem which I managed to eventually figured me out.

 

Hopefully by posting this it will be able to help people in the future that come across the issue.

 

I was trying to great a black overlay at 50% transparency with a white window in front of it with some content in. Basically to display a pop up window where the background would fade out, however when I kept trying various things it seemed the current page (IE which should be the darkened background image) was disappearing when the overlay was displayed.

 

I figured out that it was because the artboards containing the elements to be overlayed, had it's background fill set to white and by clicking on the artboard and clearing the fill, this removed the problem and the overlay worked as expected!

Hope this helps anyone who comes across this problem in the future.
