Sharing a cloud document with limited access to edit functions

Hello Adobe folks !

I've seen that the last XD release has come with the coedit function. That's a great news for team working !

For now, I'm facing an issue. We're running a design system and I want to share a file (say hello. xd) that have assets linked to an XD cloud doc (lib. xd).

After sending hello. xd to my fellow collaborators, I need to invite them personally to access the cloud doc. Since we are a little less than 100 people that comes and goes, that's a lot of time and blisters on my fingers to come, but that's ok for the moment. My main problem is that I don’t want everybody to be able to edit the lib. xd doc.

So I was wondering if there was a way to share a cloud doc with limited access ?

Thanks,

Alec

Hi Alec_SG,

Sorry for the delay in response. I would like to inform you that in case you are inviting people to edit hello.xd which has linked assets from lib.xd. They should not be able to make any changes to lib.xd, unless you invite them to edit lib.xd too.

Assets should appear as displayed in the screen shot and when you hover on the red link, it should say "Source document is missing"

You can try this on a smaller group and please let us know in case you are experiencing different results than this.

Thanks,

Atul_Saini

Thank you for the answer Atul_Saini.

I understand that in this case, hello.xd is no more linked to lib.xb. That's a problem for lib.xd is a library and thus, supposed to share updates with linked documents.

However I thank you for your time.

Alec
