Single artboard to design specs

I'm not able to publish single artboards to design specs from a document of many artboards. If I select a single artboard and publish that to design specs ALL the other artboards in that document gets included! I obviously don't want that to happen as I only want that single artboard I selected to be published to design specs. The only way of doing this is to copy that artboard to a separate document, save that document and publish that to design specs from there. What's up with this? Is it a bug?

And just to clear that in advance. Yes, W10 is up to date. Same with XD, no available updates there.

Regret the inconvenience. Unfortunately, this is expected behavior as XD's default logic is to export all artboards if there are no interactions or export connected one's if there are interactions. Once, the user sets the home artboard,  this logic prevents users from exporting the home artboard alone as no interactions exist.

The workaround you mentioned is correct and seems to be the way forward for now

We are looking into correcting this. Expect this to be fixed in a future release.

Yes, please correct this. The amount of unique single documents are accumulating big time here
