Unable to publish design specs

I'm not able to publish design specs.  I get this instead (title removed for this exposure) This is a new file so there's nothing to update, so there shouldn't be an update button. When I click New Link nothing happens. But I don't want to share a private link, I want to publish to design specs. The Units based on Custom thing, what's that? Normally there's a password field there. Why does it say Private design specs all of a sudden? What's the difference between design specs and private design specs? I always set a password. And the BETA text is back up - whats going on? Nothing is working. I tried logging out and in to CC but that didn't change anything.

    Hi Perrybrus,

    Thanks for using Adobe XD. As per the description, it looks like you have accidentally clicked private link tab. I would request you to click on "Edit Public Link" and check if it works as per your expectation.

    No. I have clicked Publish design specs and then I get the image that I shared in prior post where there's no password option, only an Update button that can be clicked. As described it's new file so there's nothing to update. Edit public link and new link are dead text, can't be clicked. When I do click the update button just to see what happens...nothing happens. However, what I should receive instead when choosing publish design specs is this dialogue section. Seems to me that it's one of them countless bug occurrences that comes and goes in XD for Windows.
