Windows XD - Shortkey Issues

I'm noticing several potential bugs with the short keys in Windows XD. The most glaring issue is items are being deleted when I press ALT so I can't do copy and pasting. This makes the program virtually unusable. This issue did not exist prior to me updating the program on Monday, April 17.

    Hi Peter,

    We've had bugs similar to the one you describe that were fixed in the version that you are using right now.

    Currently, we still have one bug where pressing alt+space will trigger the app to go into the state that you are describing, which is being fixed at the moment I'm writing this to you.

    Do you see this all the time, or is it triggered in some way (e.g. by pressing alt+space)?

    Hi there,

    My delete key suddenly doesn't work and as of this morning neither did ctrl +3 (to zoom to selection). I uninstalled and reinstalled the software and the selection shortcut works again but the delete one doesn't.

    Any ideas?

    Hi Lauren,

    Does this happen on all files or just some? Which OS are you on? Does this happen only after you import?

    You can also share your file with us for testing. Upload it to to shared location such as Creative Cloud or Dropbox and share it with us here for testing.

    Additional issues - when an item is selected and you press shift it moves the item to the center of the page.

    If you hit Ctl + Z it does not undo the last action.

    Basically, the test team should review all Windows short keys for this program. This was not properly tested before being deployed.

    Correction on the above. I said "Alt" when I should have said "Ctrl".

    A second issue I keep seeing is related to Alt. When I select an item holding Alt and then drag to copy the item, it is deleting the original select item.

    Hi,

    Regarding the Alt issue, please notice that you should be holding Alt until you release the click in order to clone an object. Otherwise, it will be interpreted as a move. This is the expected behaviour.

    I'm noticing a pattern that the short keys do not work correctly after I've imported a file. There are other times that keys do not work correctly, but I haven't identified what the cause is of everything yet.
