I am creating an XD master cloud document to incorporate our styles for a design system, using the new XD Components feature. In the master document, my component is a nested component with several instances of smaller atom components within it. In this component, I am using SVGs that we manage externally using an icon font, so I have no need to mark any of them for export. In the master document, I am able to configure the master component to not have any exports marked for the component. However, when I import the component into a new document, the SVGs included are automatically marked for export.
This can be problematic when I use the main component as a global component, copied across every artboard for several different feature documents. I may be mistaken, but it didn't appear to allow me to select multiple layers and toggle "Mark for Export" on and off to get it to work, as some of these SVGs are nested within other smaller atomic components.
1) I don't want to have to update the component every time I import it into a new document to unmark everything for export, as this can get tedious. Would it be possible to allow the master cloud document to govern the Mark for Export feature for the component itself? Or allow the ability to enable/disable auto-marking for export as a global setting in XD?
2) If not, would it be possible to update to allow group toggling/detoggling of the Mark for Export option for a component when importing it into a new document? (Reason I'm asking...it can get memory intensive when I have a document with multiple artboards all referencing the same component, but it auto-generating up to 3K different assets for export, because each instance of the global component has its own set of exported images.
Please advise. Thanks!
