Since updating my Adobe XD version 2.0 today, my XD is consistently crashing when I double click on text.

This is preventing me from working.

Please fix this bug asap.

Hi Everyone,

We realize how time consuming and challenging the workaround is for this issue. As a result, we are planning to release a hotfix to address the underlying issue. We hope to get this out in the first half of next week.

Cheers,

-Larry

Still having the same problem on Windows 10 x64 - either it crashes when I doubleclick or if I finished editing and click outside of the textbox.

I have the same issue for two days now, have you figure out the solution?

The issue is still coming from a single DDL as logged by windows Event viewer under errors code 1000.

I tried uninstalling Open Sans and restoring default font settings but I still get the crash.

After checking out the other discussion that has been opened about this issue:

Updated XD, can't modify/add text = crash

I can confirm that unsyncing 'Gibson Bold' from Typekit has stopped my XD from crashing.

I have no fonts synced from typekit but adobe xd still crashes

Do you have Gibson font installed on your system outside Typekit? It may be some other problem related with font files that is triggered not only by Gibson but some other font files. Anyway Gibson is a good starting point. Adobe, hope you're already working on it - for now it seems the community has to solve problems on their own.

In my case XD stopped crashing after I unsynced all fonts from Typekit. I will now try to restore them one by one and will let you know which one caused and issue. Here's my original list:

  • Bebas Neue
  • Clone Rounded Latin
  • Coranto 2
  • Effra
  • Futura PT
  • Futura PT Bold
  • Gibson
  • Museo
  • Proxima Nova
  • Raleway

It's working now.

Still trying trying to reproduce because my error code changed.

Thanks for the reply aaronn47980497  Are you able to share the set of fonts that you have installed (vs stock Windows fonts)?

Thanks,

-Larry

Hey Larry,

I only have the stock Windows fonts. I've never installed any other type of fonts.

Thanks,

Aaron

Hi All,

We believe that we have found the root cause of the issue that some folks are experiencing. It has to do with some fonts having missing information in the underlying font name, or font style name.  In the interest of getting a workaround as quickly as possible, we would like to work with one person to try a specific non-invasive work around.  If you are in the Pacific time zone, and have a half an hour to try a work around, please reply back and let me know.

Thanks, and again, sorry all of you are experiencing this issue.

Is there any way to revert to the previous version? I'm also experiencing this and it makes XD virtually useless.

For the record, my machine is windows 10 home, applied all most recent updates today including graphics drivers. XD launches but any interaction with a text area causes XD to immediately crash.

Yes, I also consider this option. For the test, I installed the program on a laptop with an earlier version of Windows. But there is a demo version, and there are no such problems

I was in contact in private with 2 people from Adobe, hopefully they'll find the booboo very quick!

The same situation. Runs fine, but as you start working with the text, immediately flies. It is impossible to work.
