Previous symbol linkage is gone after update

Hello, so a pretty frustrating thing happened when I updated to the latest version of XD.

All of the previous symbol links are destroyed, likely due to the updates to the symbol system (now components).

Is there a way to restore those links?

I have 150+ screens between two projects that used linked symbols and editing them in my master symbol file was a huge boon for me, now none of that works. Now if I right click a component in the design files and edit in source, it generates a new component in the master symbol file I have, which isn't very helpful at all. If I edit anything in the symbol master file, the design files do not recognize that the master symbol (component now) has changed because the link has been severed.
