In Adobe XD to turn on an artboard's grid that artboard needs to be selected. To me this is just adding another step that I don't need. I click outside of the artboard a lot to deselect items, so when I key commany to turn on the grid it often doesn't do anything until I reclick onto the artboard. If when I turned on/off grid it did it to all the artboards and it didn't matter which artboard was selected I wouldn't have this problem of constantly clicking back onto artboard before I can turn on the grid.
