Xd and InDesign copy/paste conflict

Hi, 

Xd and InDesign seem to be causing trouble. A copied item in XD keeps overriding what I copy in InDesign and pastes that instead. I copied and pasted a button while working in XD, moved over to do another job in InDesign, and cannot copy and paste. If I copy an element in InDesign after working in XD, it just pastes the XD element. A restart seems to fix, until I open XD, and then only what I had copied there, even before the restart, will be pasted in ID. Hope that makes sense? Thanks
