Question

air app for Android, workd fine in AVD emulator but not in my device

I finally decided to get my hands dirty by creating android apps with adobe air... after a lot of installations and downloading, all SDKs and that stuff, I managed to create a .apk file which I installed on Android Virtual Device (AVD) and it worked fine. it was a simple hello word like sample just to see if I can run it.

then I tried installing it on my device but when I tab on it to run the app, my mobile screen just goes black and nothing happens!

I have air 3.1 installed on my device

and I'm running Android 2.3.3 on my Sumsung Galaxy Ace

If I'm doing something wrong, please tell me or at least tell me what else I should try? building android apps is very cool these days I'm dying to build one soon.

Thanks.

Hadi

Hi Hadi,

Not sure what's going on here.  If you send me your project, I'd be happy to give it a try on my system/phone.  You can contact me directly at ccampbel@adobe.com.

Thanks for your reply Chris. I just emailed you my simple .apk test. but it seems that I cannot run ANY air apps on my device! I tried to find some air apps and non played! it gave a "Force to close" error message.

Thanks,

Hadi
