Air App stuck installing on iPad Air

I have an app which is being deployed adhoc to a limited number of devices. Up until recently it's worked perfectly, I can load the .ipa file into iTunes and simply install.

Recently I have gained a couple of new ipad airs to install it on, but when I try that it gets stuck during the installation process and never finishes.

I thought it might be a problem with the ANE's or my code, so i've just made a dummy app, which has no code, and no ANEs and it still gets stuck at the installation point, the icon is on the ipads screen but faded out, and when I tap on it, it says "installing".

I've tried AIR compiles using 14, 15 and 16

I have all the UDIDs added to my provisioning profile.

It doesn't seem to be a problem with iOS 8, as it installs fine on my older iPad3 which has been upgraded to iOS8.

Any ideas?

Hi,

That usually happens when the corresponding provisioning profile is missing from the device on which you are trying to install his app.

Could you please again check whether the device has that profile or not?

Is there a way to check the device?

I've made the provisioning profile, added the devices which I want the app to run on.

Downloaded that profile from apple's site, browsed to it and added it in the compile settings of Air, and compiled my app.

I did wonder if it was something to do with the profile though.

And in that profile you should have the UDID of the device added. After doing that, the next build/ipa you generate should get installed on the device.

Yep that's exactly what i'm doing, and it gets stuck still.

I've recently added the UDID for a further device that's an older iPad and it installed fine still, so that process seems to be correct.

It's just the new iPad Airs that it doesn't like.

It seems the poblem was in the signed certificate.

Although the one I had been using has not expired, creating a new one and compiling the app, and provisioning profile with that seems to fix the problem.

Its almost as if Apple have changed something in their certificate signing process that needs to happen for correct functionality on the iPad Air 2s.
