There is an old timer bug that would be great if it could be fixed.
Windows machines with high resolution, when in Windows settings interface is set to show elements higher than 100%, AIR or Projector read resolution wrong.
Although entire stage is occupied, reported resolution is scaled as from Windows settings, and vector and text look pixelated and scaled. You can find more info on these bugs:
https://tracker.adobe.com/#/view/FP-4198893
https://tracker.adobe.com/#/view/AIR-3975136
Also workarounds are explained, but they must be applied on the machine where AIR app is running, therefore it can be used for kiosks, but not for distributed applications.
Doesn't seem like a difficult fix, but would improve greatly AIR ubiquity.
Just run a windows 8.1 on a 4K screen, set in windows display settings interface scaled over 100%, run any AIR or Projector app, and you will see text and vectors very pixelated. Resolution is reported wrong (still, Player thinks that's the stage resolution, so it occupies the entire stage stretching content).

Hi,
HiDPI support has been added to the AIR and Flash Player on Firefox. Please go through the "New Features" section on Flash Player and AIR 22 Release Notes and Release Notes Flash Player 24 AIR 24 for reference.
Thanks!

Dear Amrita,
although HiDPI is supported, it doesn't work properly and shows pixelation and artefacts on Windows 8.1.
This is easy to reproduce, and still happens today. I have just released yesterday a StandAlone Flash Player Projector app for a client, using Player 30, and it had the same artefact.
If you wish to investigate this I would be happy to assist,
Thank you
Pippo
