Air framework is damaged

Hello, 

I purchashed some zoom game shows and after the purchase I found out they run on Adobe Air. I tried to download Adobe Air on my Mac and this is the message I get -

Adobe air framework is damaged and can’t box opened 

Is there an easy fix? I saw several ideas on how to fix it and I either didn't understand them or they didn't work. Please help!

Adobe is not supporting AIR since Jan 2020. I've found the windows install from their site is one with several known bugs that were fixed AFTER the release of that version, but the version they are currently supplying is the unpatched, buggy one. 
Make of that what you will.
