On April 13, 2018 AIR 29 was updated with a fix that prevents rejection from Apple.

Release Notes Flash Player 29 AIR 29

However, there has been no word from Adobe on whether older AIR versions would be updated with this fix.  Meaning that iOS developers must use AIR 29.  Is there any formal work from Adobe on this?  Will they patch older AIR versions with this fix?

I haven't seen any word from Adobe on this, but Apple has announced that all future submissions must use the iOS 11 SDK and support iPhone X, which has only been possible since AIR 28 anyway.  I have a feeling they won't be fixing that rejection problem in older versions, since Apple wouldn't allow uploads using anything older anyway.

(Apple announced this rule would start in April, though some users mentioned they've still been able to submit with older versions this month, so maybe they've pushed back that requirement slightly.  Here's their original notice: Build Your Apps for iOS 11 and iPhone X - News - Apple Developer )
