Is there a useful mailing list that I can get onto to find out about AIR and Flex and PlayerGlobal releases?

I recommend bookmarking this discussion location in the forums:

Additionally, on the right sidebar you should see an option to receive email notifications for this list and so you should then receive notice on every release.
