another application is already being installed.

hi

this is my first post here

i find out i can't install any of air's application and also i can't unistall my air whenever i try to do thoes this error appears:

Adobe AIR could not be installed because another application is already being installed. Complete the first installation before proceeding with this one.

but i couldn't see another i think there is not other application

i deleted the folder of air but now when i want to install air i see that error again !!!

please tell me what shoul i do

Hi,

I'm sorry you're running into this problem.  I assume you've tried to restart your system?  If so, and the problem persists please try the steps listed in this document:

Unable to load software

Please let me know how it goes.  If the steps above don't work we'll need to gather AIR logging information which will give us a better look at what exactly is failing.

I am having a similar problem.

OS = Win SBS 2003

software = Air, Reader X and Symantec Endpoint Protection/Live Update.

All give the error msg xxx could not be installed because another application is already being installed. Complete the first installation before proceeding with this one.

I have restarted the server multiple times, I have tried to uninstall the Adobe products but get the same error msg. I have turned on the logging as suggested elsewhere.

What should I try now?

Hi Richard,

Did you try the steps listed to kill the msiexec.exe process?

hi first of all i want to appreciate to answer me

u r very helpfull

i did what u said ,yes the mciexec.exe process is my problem and when i end it i can install or unistall air or any air application

but i can't find the program what causes to run this processor but for now i can do what  i want thanks again
