Error 1327. Invalid Drive:G

I have a drive:G and it is plugged in but for some reason I cannot update adobe reader. It gives me an error window then after I click ok it then says a fatal error occured, click ok and then finish.  I tried removing it from the G drive but some of the files can not be deleted.  I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling a newer version but it still will not let me update adobe reader.  What else is there left to do to get adobe off Drive:G.

Drive:G is an exteral drive.
