iOS 7 requires 3 new icon sizes: 76px, 120px and 152px

  • If your application supports the iPhone device family, you must include square icons of the following dimensions: 57x57 pixels and 120x120 pixels.
  • If your application supports the iPad device family, you must include square icons of the following dimensions: 72x72 pixels, 76x76 pixels and 152x152 pixels

Is this already possible in AIR 3.8 beta because I have only tested it with AIR 3.7 and it does not compile with these new icons.

WIll this be added soon?

I just submitted an app compiled using the beta from Flash Pro CC. I got this message back from Apple, but it looks like they are going to accept it without the icons. In the past I've received similar messages about other issues with other builds of Air that didn't affect approval. I wish Flash Pro CC would get updates pushed out with each revised Air build so we don't have keep checking back at adobe.com/air for the latest. At least they could list the full build versions at http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/air-sdk-download.html. There have been multilple builds under 3.8. Why not update the version number as new builds are released? It seems you have to download the SDK to see if it's received an update. Is there a better page to be checking?

Also wish we could just add icons in the XML application descriptor.

Missing recommended icon file - The bundle does not contain an app icon for iPad of exactly '152x152' pixels, in .png format.

If you would like to update your binary for this app, you can reject this binary from the Binary Details page in iTunes Connect. Note that rejecting your binary will remove your app from the review queue and the review process will start over from the beginning when you resubmit your binary.

Thanks for posting this. Looks like they will treat it like iPhone 5 support last year, apps had about 6 months grace period where they could release apps that did not support iPhone 5's new wider screen which left it with black bars, but now it is required, lets hope Adobe will have a fix in a few weeks so this can be a problem of the past.

My app seems to be running fine with IOS7 and although I have not updated the icon sizes, the icon looks the same as well.

However, does anyone have an idea when it will be easy for developers to select the new icon sizes for Android and Ios with Flash CC or Flash Pro CS6?

I hope very soon, as my app on Android is getting no traffic, in part because it was developed for tablets only but is showing up in the general purpose section because the icons are not properly supported.

You would think Apple would be smart enough to ask for one icon (largest) and then option all others from that one and just display instances everywhere its required. Optional supply could be if you want to display a different icon... But - of course not, and Adobe haven't figured the same and allow just one either:
