iOS Simulator on OSX with AIR SDK 20

No, the problem is still unresolved. I also could not run the simulator in IntelliJ IDEA .

I'm in contact with Intellij support (https://intellij-support.jetbrains.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/206390809-Flex-mobile-project-Unable...) but it is more likely an AIR that an IDE issue.

I installed that beta (21) on mac fb 4.7 and it crashed out very badly.

Almost everything has stopped working until I reinstall FB.

This issue seems to have come back with AIR 24, can be replicated with the default Flash project in IntelliJ 2016.3

Unable to install the application on iOS Simulator

Come on Adobe, the iOS Simulator is now unusable within Animate (also intellijIDEA) and it is such a useful tool. It's about time someone broke the deafening silence and communicated with the Adobe customers about what's being done to resolve this.

I can confirm this is now resolved with AIR 25 Beta. Launching the simulator from IntelliJ 2016.3 is working.
