Missing icons and splash files with 28.0.0.120

When publishing my iOS app through Adobe Animate (v18 Build 107) with AIR SDK 28.0.0.120 none of the app icons or splash images are included in the .ipa file.

Despite all files correctly being referenced and added to the included files list.

Mac OSX 10.11.6

iOS SDK 11.1

Would anyone have a fix for this please?

Thanks,

Mark

Hi,

Please check the section "iOS SDK Upgrade" in AIR 28 beta release notes at http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/labs/flashruntimes/shared/air28_flashplayer28_releasenotes.pdf

You would need to package assets.car for icons if you are using iOS 11.

Thanks,

Including the Assets.car file does fix the missing icons issue.

However, the launch images are still not being packaged (so for example in an iPhone 6 the app is displayed at 3:4 ratio with black panels above and below the app).

Would you know how to fix this?

Thanks,

Mark

Thank you. The issue was the missing ~iphone tags in each launch image file name.

Do I have to do this if I have Animate?

Because in the Target panel/ Icons panel; it has a place for Icons 76 120 152 180 and 167.

I added them there but the in iPhone 6s no icon is displayed for the App in development testing mode.

Please clarify, thanks...

Hi,

Yes, iOS 11 onwards, packaging Assets.car is mandatory for icons to display. Please go through section "iOS SDK Upgrade" in AIR 28 release notes at Release Notes Flash Player 28 AIR 28.
