Question

Simple Adobe Air Application works in Emulator and fails on device

Hello,

I created a simple AIR application (just a rectangle on stage) in Flash and used the export settings for Android OS to package into an apk file. When I choose deployment for "emulator" the resulting apk works perfectly on the Android emulator. When I want to deploy for a "device", however, I always get "The application .... has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.".

My device is an LG-GT540 with Android 2.3.3 and has the Adobe AIR runtime 2.7.1953 installed.

Has anybody experienced similar problems and can help me out here? There must be something foundational wrong when the app does not even start?!

Thank you for your time reading this.

David

Ok, so there is actually no AIR app running on the phone even with the latest version of AIR on the phone. I have no idea why though.

I also have LG GT-540 running Cyanogenmod 7 Android 2.3.3... And I too have the same problem. like I created a simple game on flash CS5 Exported to apk, and installed to my phone: it says "Force Close"... Then I tried one of the templates of adobe flash (the ball with the accelerometer) that didn't work too... I have Adobe AIR and Adobe Flash Player 10.3 installed. In my opinion the problems is because GT-540 does not have the flash support anyway.
