There is a certificate in the Air runtime resources directory that is expiring in Jan 2021

Adobe AIR\Versions\1.0\Resources\Thawte Root Certificate.cer

Can anyone shed any light on what this is for?

Is it likely to effect the way Air operates in any way?

probably realted to when you publish an installer exe
so not a big deal as now the advised way is to produce a cpative runtime and so provide your own installer
